Take A Look
The design involved an extensive remodel and addition to a historic structure that had numerous renovations and additions added to the original building. The objective was to create a harmonious, single style to the exterior, while also improving the overall energy efficiency of the home.
Energy Efficiency and Indoor Air Quality:
Installed energy saving components as part of the remodel that included upgrading to higher than code required insulation and caulking, thus sealing the house for air tightness
Installed high efficiency heating and air conditioning, along with interior air to air exchanger for improved indoor air quality.
This historic home is located in a high fire risk area, so new exterior materials were non-combustible. We used hardi-shingles, stained to give an old style feeling and used corten steel roofing that rusts to give the beautiful color of old metal.
